Wii Review

The Nintendo Wii, at first glance doesn't look like much and is very light. The design is very sleek and minimal.

However, after setting it up and turning it on, one quickly sees that this unit is of differnt design and concept. Instead of moving up/down arrows and pressing buttons, one just moves the controller to control the arrow pointer and then one presses a button.

Setup is quick and very easy. No additional adjustments were needed so I was soon bowling and then boxing. I recommend the "Sports" package. I love the bowling and in addition to boxing has golf and tennis !

The Wii is fun because the games are well designed, cute graphics and makes one really get into the game since one has to physically move, your arms and/or legs, instead of just your fingers, as in the other game consoles.

I also recommend the new "Mario" racing game, "MarioKart". It has several zany characters to choose from and many car styles, as well as several fun race track layouts. One can even race in the snow and ice. One my favorites is racing though a mall !!

The characters are all cartoonish but don't let that fool you. Its not easy to win but its a lot of fun even coming at last place !
